Nice recap, I don’t know how true this is of the ballroom. I read the architecture on the top exterior has natzi like emblems at the corners and peaks. Thought I would point that out for some verification. Hoping it’s not true but if it is this is something the mainstream media should be reporting on. Though they are bending their knees as well. If true needs some traction.
Evern American should read this, as it captures the essence of Donald Trump’s character —- his lack of both intellect and moral compass. That’s at least understandable; the man’s just being himself. But how to explain the complicity of the Quislings: Trump’s Republican congressional enablers who know they are weakening our country’s institutions?
There aren't very many people left in the world who still think the apogee of governance was Louis XIV and the greatest architecture was his golden filigreed palaces in Paris and Versailles. But America found one and somehow elected him president. How we got here is an important question for historians but meanwhile we need to call out what he is doing to the country so that even the blind will see. Thanks, Margaret
It will be interesting to see — as in the case of an astonishingly large proportion of the population of France, who after the Second World War, proclaimed that they too had been part of the Resistance — how quickly, once the Trump spell is broken, Republican politicians will swear that they had had nothing to do with his betraying the country.
Amen to all of it. Especially the condemnation of the Republicans in congress. Hard hitting commentary from two of Steady State’s toughest, smartest members that contributes admirably to the legacy of the TSS’s professional women.
Love the last line.
Thank you!
